My love of Southeast Asia, and Thailand in particular, began years ago when my father’s work took our family to Bangkok. The Thai people were incredibly welcoming and open and the culture was rich in the traditions of Buddhism and Animism. Bangkok was a pulsating, exotic place to grow up, and I loved it.

In 2004 I started Vogt Company. I personally travel to Southeast Asia yearly to hand select one-of-a-kind objects from Thailand, Burma, Cambodia, Laos and China. I look for pieces that clearly reflect the culture and forms of the people who created them; eclectic items that compliment a western design sensibility or highlight and accentuate an existing Asian theme.
